Vehicle Name Racer X
Team E-mail
Location Irvine, CA
Team Description* Team Banzai is a privately funded effort by the Banzai Research Institute of Irvine, California to compete in the 2005 DARPA Grand Challenge.  The Banzai Research institute, founded in 1999 by Dr. John Choi, specializes in the research and development of large-scale intelligent knowledge management software systems.

With a foundation in Computational Neurobiology and innovative cross-discipline problem solving strategies, Team Banzai plans to leverage its exceptional team of scientists and engineers to address the challenge of developing a robust and resourceful robotic vehicle capable of autonomously traversing novel and rugged desert terrain.

The key to Team Banzai’s competitive advantage will be the utilization of its proprietary Natural Logic Processing technology, currently being developed at the Banzai Research Institute, to allow our autonomous vehicle to assess and respond to situations in a more intelligent human-like fashion.
